FAD Fishing Costa Rica

The FAD Fishing that Costa Rica offers

Around the world, there are several types of FADs but here in Costa Rica, you will find subsurface FADS.  Through out the years, fishermen have noticed that the exact placement of the FADs has a great impact on the species of fish that reside in that specific area of the Ocean. What this means is when the FADs are very close to the surface, you can expect to see a lot of Dorado and Wahoo.  However, if the FADs are located in very deep waters, you will attract fish but it will difficult to actually fish them.

What is FAD Fishing?

If you don’t know what a FAD is, we will explain to you in the following paragraph.

A FAD is considered to be anything that attracts fish and this can be something that you have already seen in the ocean such as a floating log would be called a FAD.

The FADs that we use are stationary and subsurface which makes it difficult to find for other fishermen in the area, which gives you as an angler an advantage of booking with a FAD fishing trip with our crew and boat.
